Eva Klotz, Christo und den Alpini

Veneto Stato gibt volle Unterstützung für Eva Klotz Initiative. Der Anführer der Südtiroler Unabhängigkeitsbewegung will mit der Kunst im Kampf gegen die historische Unwahrheit, wie ihre Region wurde nach Italien annektiert. Die Alpini, ein Flügel der italienischen Armee, planen eine nationale Erhebung im Jahr 2012 um das “Monument to Victory” in Bozen, Südtirol Hauptstadt. Frau Klotz für die Gelegenheit schlug für dieses Symbol der ruchlosen Mal mit einem Kunstwerk von Christo.
Veneto Stato begrüßt diesen Vorschlag und fordert kreative venezianischen politischen Vertretern auf genau das gleiche mit den unzähligen Denkmälern verwerflich, dass zu Unrecht feiern 1866 Annexion der venezianischen Besitztümer an das Königreich Italien zu tun.

Wir sind im 21. Jahrhundert, und wir müssen ein Ende zu fiktiven historischen Propaganda. Italien war der Angreifer während des Ersten Weltkriegs, wie es während dem Jahre 1866 preußisch-österreichischen Krieges war. Seine territoriale Gewinne (Südtirol und Venetien,) waren nicht das Ergebnis eines militärischen Sieges, sondern der glückliche Allianzen. Die lokale Bevölkerung nicht begrüßen die italienische Invasionen, und wir müssen ein Ende zu jahrzehntelange falsche Propaganda.

Wir tun es mit der Kunst und Intelligenz.

Eva Klotz, Christo and the Alpini

Veneto Stato gives total support to Eva Klotz’s initiative. The leader of South Tyrol’s independence movement wants to fight with art the historical falseness of how her region was annexed to Italy. The Alpini, a wing of the Italian army, are planning a national gathering in 2012 around the “Monument to Victory” in Bozen, South Tyrol’s capital. Ms. Klotz for the occasion suggested covering this symbol of nefarious times with one of Christo’s artwork.

Veneto Stato welcomes this creative proposal and invites Venetian political representatives to do just the same with the myriad of reprehensible monuments that wrongly celebrate the 1866 annexation of Venetian lands to the Kingdom of Italy.

We are in the 21st century and we must put a stop to fictitious historical propaganda. Italy was the aggressor during World War I, just as it was during the 1866 Austro-Prussian war. Its territorial gains (South Tyrol and Veneto, respectively) were not the result of military victory, but of fortunate alliances. The local population did not welcome the Italian invasions, and we must put a stop to decades of inaccurate propaganda.

Let’s do it with art and intelligence.
